How I Learned to Fly
12-year-old Sofija was going to go to a summer camp with her friends. But her grandma takes her to Croatia instead – this is where her sister lives and she hasn’t seen her for ages. Can anything save this holiday?
First kiss, finding friends, doing something memorable – Sofija has ambitious plans for the summer months. Her stay in the island of Hvar doesn’t promise well in the beginning. Sofija’s grandma stuffs her with sandwiches and pats sunscreen on her – that’s so embarrassing! To make things worse, there’s hardly any internet connection. The girl will remember her holiday for long for another reason, though. When Sofija discovers that she has a cousin she has never met before and other family secrets come to light, she will understand how important it is to get to know your family better. This is an intergenerational, funny story, full of Croatian sun.
